National scope

At the national level, research, advice and consultancy have been carried out in various branches of the economy such as: biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry in general, tourism, steel-mechanical, sugar, maritime transport, light, textile, printing, energy, rubber. and tourism. Since 2000, it has participated in a dozen National, Branch, and International Projects and hundreds of business projects in Cuba and abroad with the participation of students from the Master's Degrees in which our subjects are taught. Currently, guidelines 129, 138, 139, 143, 144, 145, 152 and 153 of the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution establish a group of directives of particular importance for the development of postgraduate activity in Industrial Engineering topics. What is indicated in the guidelines suggests the need to maintain the offer of current programs with a common core that facilitates the integration of the contents and lines of research of the programs, with a view to anticipating scientific and technological development in the main areas of production and services to promote new avenues that stimulate creativity in solving problems The above must be achieved within the framework of the process of improving education in which it is essential to achieve better use and use of the workforce and existing capabilities, which will allow reducing expenses in the social sphere while simultaneously developing strategies to confront the levels of aging of the population, which implies the need to update the training and research programs of universities based on the economic and social development of the country and new technologies and increase enrollment to meet the demands of qualification of young people who must be prepared to replace the aging workforce.

At international level

At the international level, the beginning of the 21st century saw the development of the essentials of our master's degrees in other Master's programs abroad, such as the Master's Degree in Human Resources Management that began at the “Gabriel René Moreno” Autonomous University, in Santa Cruz. de la Sierra, Bolivia in 2001, the Master's Degree in Industrial and Business Management at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), in La Paz, Bolivia since 2002, the Master's Degree in Total Quality at the Universidad Veracruzana de México (2003). , the Master's Degrees in Industrial Engineering and Total Quality from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), in Ecuador, in 2005, the Master's Degree in Management taught at the Bolivarian University of Venezuela in the State of Barinas from 2010 and the Master's Degree in Human Resources Management, Ergonomics and Safety and Health at Work approved in June 2014 for delivery in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
