1. Achieve the adaptation of students to the University.

Begin the comprehensive training of students considering the defense of the socialist homeland, science and technology, the ecological, the economic, the social, the legal, the cultural, the sporting and the political, on the basis of participation and the sincere commitment to the concept of Revolution. 
3. Strengthen the vocation and achieve adequate motivation and sense of belonging to the profession, whose emphasis will fall on the subjects of Introduction to Engineering and Introduction to Industrial Engineering. 
4. Begin to develop learning and training of knowledge management skills. 
5. Strengthen the discipline and industriousness of students, as well as the ability to learn by doing as a team. 
6. Begin the basic cycle of the degree, which, in addition to contents of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Drawing, includes humanistic content, such as the History of Cuba, the philosophical conception of society and national security and defense. 
7. Begin the direct link of students with the production and service processes from their work as an operator in them. 
8. Argue the role of Information Technologies in the analysis, design and improvement of the information system and in the management of innovation in production and service processes. 
9. Develop habits and skills in the English language and in the use of the rules and regulations of the profession.

Second year


1. Continue developing: 
 - the comprehensive training of students based on the curricular strategies and values provided for in the degree study plan. 
 - learning and training skills for knowledge management. 
 - the discipline and industriousness of the students, as well as the ability to learn by doing as a team. 
 - habits and skills in the English language and in the use of the rules and regulations of the profession. 
 2. Complete the basic cycle. 
 3. Continue the studies of social sciences with Political Economy.   4. Apply the basic concepts of business economics in the analysis and projection of the career, as well as in the assessment of impacts on business effectiveness and efficiency. 
5. Start the study of applied mathematics and technological processes. 
 6. Develop skills in the application of probabilistic and statistical modeling methods that contribute to the diagnosis, design, operation, control and improvement of production and service processes. 
 7. Develop logical-formal reasoning and information processing capacity through the design and implementation of computational algorithms and technological solutions, which contribute to the automation of work and decision making in the spheres of action of the industrial engineer. 
 8. Complement your practical vision with the theoretical in some technological processes of interest to the industrial engineer. 
 9. Promote the development of students' knowledge and skills in specific areas of industrial engineering work with the beginning of the study of subjects from the optional/elective curriculum. 
 10. Resolve problems at the job level during work practice.

Third year


1. Advance to higher levels in the comprehensive training of students, with special emphasis on their training as comprehensive professionals in particular:
 - Develop a positive attitude in social behavior, and achieve correct habits of formal education with high ethical and patriotic responsibility. 
 -Apply, based on the curriculum, concepts, methods and forms of action with scientific rigor.
 - Develop, through curricular activities, awareness of energy, economic and profitability efficiency, as well as skills that contribute to sustainable and sustainable development in the future.
 - Demonstrate the capacity for reflection, a culture of debate and exchange of information, in the technical-scientific and social sphere.
  2. Complete basic training in applied mathematics.
 3. Continue developing skills related to the exercise of the profession with the beginning of more specific training in topics related to Human Factor Engineering, Process and Supply Chain Management, Quality and Business Management.
 4. Continue developing your training in relation to the use of Information Technologies in organizational processes.
 5. Complete basic training in social sciences with the study of Social Problems of Science and Technology.
 6. Continue to develop learning and training of knowledge management skills, as well as habits and skills in the English language and in the use of the rules and regulations of the profession.
 7. Solve problems at the level of production and service processes during work practice.
 8. Achieve progress in your professional training that allows you to define, a priori, a topic for the development of the diploma work.

Fourth year


1. Continue developing

 3. Ensure that students value the most relevant aspects linked to the interrelationships of science – technology – society, which should contribute to greater social responsibility of future professionals.
 4. Carry out technological surveillance on international trends in the development of Information Technologies, to obtain knowledge that allows making design and operation decisions that impact the sustainable improvement of the positions, processes and work systems.
 5. Continue the training of students in certain areas of work of the industrial engineer with the teaching of the remaining optional/elective subjects.
 6. Know the basic foundations related to research methodology that allow applying concepts, methods and forms of action with scientific rigor.
 7. Increase professional preparation during the development of the diploma work by increasing the capacity for self-improvement and self-preparation, research and innovation.
